Happy New Year!!

I have seen so many uploads on facebook and  I wanted to say too, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope the new year is like everyone imagines it to be, and specially for me I just wish I will be able to do all the things that I have in my mind. I will try my best 🙂

This year for me has been so unpredictable, I managed to get to know so many people through this blog and it has been amazing so far. Plus I got to know better all my favourite artists, the ones that I talk so much about,  meaning Kartellen, Södra Sidan and Alpis. It has been so awesome. I will really try to keep up with everything that comes up including them  and I hope it really works more than it already did since now. I am so glad that I started the blog almost two and a half months ago and it has so far around 8,500 views. It was so hard to believe it in the first place, because I didn’t know if people would be interested in what I write or if they like the same artists like I do. But it turned out so great and I hope it remains that way.

I want to thank specially all my favourite ones for motivating me to get involved with this, and for all the good words they said about the things that I write and the material that I have here, meaning Sebbe Staxx, Maskinisten, Alpis, Christopher and Daniel from Södra Sidan. I wish you all Happy Holidays and good luck with your future music plans. I really hope I will be able to keep doing this for as long as it goes and spread the word and the music that you want to share with the people.

And last, I wanna thank all the people that read and are interested in what I have to say, my college friends and my family in Greece that I miss so much. I wish you all a great new year, with health, focus, lots of music, inspiration, passion,$W@G, and love.

A completely $W@GGED out pic to end the year!

And a completely $W@GGED out song to end the year 😀

How About Bowling?

To be completely honest, I don’t know if I like bowling. This morning we were at a bowling place at Kungsholmen with my sister and some friends. It was my second time ever bowling, my first one was with college, a couple of months ago. I completely sucked at it, officially. I mean, I don’t get it. Is it because I am so small- figured and the balls are so heavy? Haha, I don’t know. But I was the last one in the points. It was fun anyway, watching other people being so good at it, and then watching your points thinking, “Are the real ones or are they gonna get doubled like the rest of the people?” No, they were the real ones..Anyways, maybe I’ll try it again sometime. And what’s the deal with the shoes? At least they should be a bit more stylish, come on!

Christmas Djing!

So last night, I djed again at Tivoli, at the Hip Hop dancefloor. There was so much people! I played between 00.00-01.00, which means that I was second on the row, something that I was really nervous about. I was so worried to make sure that I adjust perfectly my music and not make mistakes at the same time, because people were already dancing and having fun. My hands were shaking the first minutes, till I made sure that everything is like it’s supposed to be and after that came all the fun part, seeing people dancing and enjoying your music! I hadn’t time to take pictures of me and my baby sister while we were playing but we  took pics of the colourful flashing lights on the dancefloors, something that I really love 🙂

If you are interested in the same music like me, I have created 5 different Hip Hop/ R n’ B tracklists on spotify with international music, one with swedish Hip Hop and one reggaeton/dancehall, you can check them out or subscribe 🙂

Enjoy! 🙂 ❤

Merry Christmas!!

I haven’t completely got it yet, because swedish people celebrate Christmas today actually and in Greece we used to celebrate them tomorrow, but anyways, today, tomorrow, it’s all Christmas days, so Merry Christmas to all out there, God Jul på svenska, Feliz Navidad in spanish, call it whatever you want! 😀 Lots of food, music and homey mood, plus I will be playing music tomorrow again at Tivoli, at the hip hop dancefloor, where there is going to be a really big Christmas celebration!

Happy Holidays from a monster! ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Tivoli’s adress is :  Fleminggatan 2, age limit 18years old  , 21.00-03.00

So this Thursday, it was the appointement of my second tattoo. It was something that I wanted to do for so long, and now I finally had the chance to do it. The motive is my name “Irene” and I did it on the inside of my right arm, just like I did my other one on the inside of my left arm. I did it at Salong Betong, Bandhagen, by Erik.

And since I love tattoos so much, I thought I should take some pictures today to show it off a bit.

Take a look! 😀

2 Days On The Set With Maskinisten

I haven’t been bloging for a couple of days now, because I  have been on the set of  Maskinisten’s new music video called “Långsamt”, (in english the closest word would be “slowly” ). It was great! It was my very first time being on a real set, watching how a music video is being made and the most important part is that I had the chance to do this  with one of my favourite artists ever, Maskinisten. Along with that, I had the pleasure to meet  people who work with music , meaning the directors, photographer, people who work with music managing/marketing (my thing), but also 2 really cool guys, Christos, the  artist that sings along with Maskinisten, and Sebbe. (I actually had seen Christos and Sebbe before, but didn’t really meet them in person, I did that now 🙂 )

The funniest part is that as soon as I heard “Christos”, I kind of realised that he must be greek and when we started talking we were like :

(Him) -I’m half Greek.

(Me) -Really?? I’m all Greek!

Haha so we talked actually in greek, english and swedish. 😀 He told me so many things about him, he  let me listen to some of his samples that he is going to be releasing in 2013 and some of his future plans that include collaborations with global DJs! Oh yeah!

It has been a great chance for me and I really want to thank Mr. Jerry, Christos, Sebbe and the all other people who were there and let me be a part of it.  I’ve learnt so many things and had an amazing time. Thank you! 🙂

Day 1, on the set

This one below was a special tecnique, of showing a short film that is going to be part of the video, but the cool thing is that the film is actually going to be seen on Maskinisten’s skin. I was sitting on the other room with the guys when they were filming this and all of a sudden I hear “Irene! Come here and check this out! ” It was Mr. Jerry! 😀 ❤

Day 2, shooting at Mr. Jerry’s house

Christos and me looping a bit on the pauses!

Baby sister followed me at the shooting yesterday ❤

Peyton and me

Peyton Sawyer is a figure of an american teen series called One Tree Hill. I started watching it when it first started on greek TV. I was 16 by that time. There was a teenage girl in these series that by the very first moments you could realize her passion for music. The only things she ever wanted to have in her life were : Music and Love. And love for music.

I got really influenced by her, because a lot of girls in my class told me several times that I looked exactly like her. She used to have long, curly, blonde hair and wear leather black jackets and boots. I loved that look ever since I was a kid and I used to be blonde by that time of my life, so it may happened that I looked actually like her.

What I loved most about her was the fact that she never gave up on the people she loved and on music. Everyone who wanted to know about music, or organize events or get to know artists, Peyton was their person. I really admired her for that even if she was just a caracter.

The thing that I have to remember about her and I mention her now, because Tree Hill is on the TV again, is that she knew who she loved since she was 17 and she never gave up on him. And every time she had troubles or worries, music was always her company. She always expressed herslef with art and music when she couldn’t do it with words.

That’s Peyton

And that’s me.

I don’t really know if we look alike, I think maybe we do a little bit, what do you think?? 😀

And last but not least, this is a music blog, so here is the series’s soundtrack by Gavin Degraw an american alternative rock artist. I love the refrain of it “I don’t wanna be anything other than what I’ve been, tryna be lately, all I have to do is think of me and I got piece of mind. I’m tired of looking around ‘rooms wondering what I gotta do, or who I’m supposed to be, I don’t wanna be anything other than me.”
