I’m sure most of you already know about this but I thought it would be fun to make a post about it. In my opinion this is a great way to start the urban summer in this town. The days have just started getting bigger, the sun is shinning and the sound of house music is flowing in the air. Perfect. At this year’s Summerburst some of the artists that are going to take part are : David Guetta – Calvin Harris – Hardwell – Krewella – Showtek – R3hab. I really really really hope to be able to have media pass because I have never been there before.
For the ones who haven’t gotten your tickets yet, here you go : http://www.tickster.com/sv/events/e66dgtbve8j2nuc
I hope I’ll able to see you all there!!
This might as well be my favorite spot in town! 🙂
Lady Gaga’s new video, G.U.Y. , which stands for ” Girl Under You” .
This morning I found out that The Rolling Stones are going to have a European tour this summer! They are going to tour here in may, June and July and they will be in town on the 1st of July to perform at Tele2 Arena. I mean it’s only Rock & Roll right? So excited! I hope I am able to get a media pass to take some badass pictures otherwise I will get normal tickets anyway because I don’t want to miss it!
The tickets will be released on Friday the 28th of March. In the meantime, here’s one of my favorite Rolling Stones performances, featuring my favorite artist of all times, Lady Gaga.
Some sightseeing with friends today in Stockholm. 🙂
Last night Viktor and The Blood were having a gig here in Stockholm. It was so good seeing them live again. It was their first time playing in Stockholm after releasing their first record a couple of months ago. I am deeply in love with their music and to be honest I love their new record. I had a feeling last summer when they released their EP, that the record was going to be really well made, and I was right. I have been following this band whether it was Sugarplum fairy or Viktor and The Blood since day one that I moved to Sweden, simply because I love them.
The only thing that makes me think a bit “more” when I see them live or think about them, is that sometimes I feel that they should get more attention that they already have now. And by that I mean that they are good in what they do, their music is well made, but for some reason that I still cannot figure out, the people that they gather in their shows is not as much as it should be. I don’t really know whether it is because of the town that we live in, or because of the record label, or the management, but at the end of the day it is not my call to make. I hope in the future their label or management figures that out and have more attention and support here and basically everywhere. 🙂
Here’s the moments captured in my camera. If you ‘re curious to have a taste of last night’s feelings, here’s a link of my Instagram page, as I have filmed two short videos. http://instagram.com/irenepavlidi
Well, this moment finally came. It might have taken more than 15 years for me, but I have finally seen the Backstreet boys live. It is hard to describe a band that has sold more than 130.000.000 million records worldwide, so I will try to describe what they mean to me.
I fell in love with them when I was 8, with their hit “I want it that way”. After that, I kept following their success, but the real moment when I fell in love really deep with them, and mostly with Aj Mclean was when their hit “Incomplete” came out. The first time I watched this video, my emotions were beyond words. And I became an addict straight on. Their album that includes this hit is my favorite album of all times by the Backstreet boys. It has stigmatized a whole period in my life when I had no friends and all I did was get lost in music.
I could never ever believe at that moment that there will be a day when I would actually stand literally in front of them and watch them perform. But this moment came really true last night here in Stockholm. How can I describe what I felt, when I don’t even know how. The truth is that they were amazing. They were exactly like all those posters I kept hanging on my room walls since I was 8 years old. They were as gorgeous and talented as these posters. Each and every one of them. Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Howie D., Brian Litrell and my love Aj Mclean. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw him, was all these moments that I googled him and paid real close attention to his tattoos. Now he was real. Right in front of me with all those tats and manicure that I was trying so hard to copy when I was a kid. He was perfect.
As about the whole show, I didn’t see not even a single person that was not having fun. We all partied together like in the 90’s and we had to thank the Backstreet boys for that. They were so kind and interactive with the audience. I have seen very very few artists who actually do that. All I have to say is that last night might as well have been one of the best nights of my life. And I know that, as long as there is music, they’ll be coming back AGAIN!
Enjoy the pics! 🙂
