Last Thursday was a special one because the Rival Sons were in Sweden once again on their encore European tour for their latest record “Hollow Bones”. Not a lot of dates included on this tour of theirs, but some of them include opening for the most legendary band of all times- The Rolling Stones.
A couple of days ago the Sons were in Gothenburg- Sweden for a headline show, and we were there to immortalize those special live music moments.
Here’s a glimpse of what happened in Pustervik- Gothenburg last Thursday! I hope you enjoy taking a look as much as I enjoyed taking these pictures, and please feel free to share if you feel like it!
Have a great weekend everyone with lots of positivity and music!
Wanted to upload some pictures from downtown Gothenburg since it was our first time there. I think it is a really beautiful and sweet city and the people I have met there were really kind. Till the next time I am around, here is what I got. 🙂
I have been all the way to Gothenburg and back to Stockholm in almost twenty four hours and have slept probably around two. Why ? To see and shoot the Sons of course. I am sitting on the train right now heading back home and I cannot help it but recall all the amazing moments from last night’s show. I have been waiting for it almost all summer. I feel deep love for them mostly because they are so damn good in what they do. I remembered from the last time that I shot them in Stockholm, that the opening track was “Electric man” and I was hoping that they would not change that this time. And thank God they didn’t. As soon as I took my place in front of the scene and in front of Scott Holiday, I was patiently waiting for the moment that the lights would go down and I will see them hitting the stage, grabbing their instruments and letting the music do the rest.
That moment didn’t take long to come and all of a sudden Scott Holiday was right in front of me, grabbing his beautiful guitar and starting playing like there is no tomorrow. The melody of “Electric man” started to fill up the atmosphere and I was so drown away by the sound of it that I almost forgot that I was actually there for a reason and that was of course to shoot.
I am a 90’s kid and that means that I don’t really have basic knowledge about this kind of music, but I can sure recognize when an artist does their job right and when their music is made with passion and respect. Just like the first time when I saw them last summer in Stockholm, opening for Aerosmith.
I read a while back another artist’s interview saying ” support your favorite bands or they will die” . This couple of days I was all about that. I can sure tell that they have all of my support now and in the many more years to come. And I hope and wish that someday I will get to know them in person as well so that I can tell them that myself.
Ps : If I didn’t make it that obvious by the pics that follow, I like Scott Holiday and was at his side of the stage throughout the whole time I was shooting. 🙂 I hope you guys like my pics and feel free to share them and comment in the comment section below. 🙂
Have a great weekend my friends wherever you are with lots of music! ❤
Hey my dear friends! I wanted to post something that I am really looking forward to, and this is of course the Rival Sons show in a couple of weeks, in Gothenburg here in Sweden. 😀 I have already bought our tickets and applied for a photo pass. I really hope I can get one just like I did the last time they were here. Have you seen them live? Or do you like them as much as I do? Here is what I got from last winter when they played at Munchenbryggeriet here in Stockholm.
If you have seen them live, feel free to write your impressions and your feelings from their show in the comment section, I would love to read them. 🙂
Have a great day my friends, with lots of music! ❤
