Today was the second day working! Almost everything is done, apart from a few details. I also printed out pretty, little Urbanside logos and cards!! 😀 Plus, the day’s best thing was that I ran into ISON and STOR at the train to school! One normal day on your way to school and you happen to see some of the most famous rappers in this country. Last week I ran into Aki from Labyrint and Amsie Brown 😀
In a couple of days we have our öppet hus exhibition in college and I started working today on what I want to present. It will be a very big poster with the most known pictures on my blog, from all my favourite artists and from many different events like hip hop battles, gigs, festivals, release parties. Who will be included – exposed in it are : Mando Diao , Hoffmaestro, Sugarplum Fairy, Alpis, Södra sidan, Näääk , Nimo, Kartellen, EASAS (En annan sida av Sverige) , Max Peezay and Matte Caliste. There is also going to be a short text presentation of it which more or less goes like this : “The main idea for my project was to inspire people who live in other countries, through the swedish hip hop and the life in the suburbs of Stockholm, just like I was when I lived in Greece”. Also to introduce this type of music and lifestyle to other people from an “outsider’s ” perspective, since I was not born and raised here in Sweden. There is a lot of material from live shows, hip hop battles and pictures from the most known suburb areas in Stockholm city” . Yup, that’s it! I took the below sneak pics to show how the process goes and I will be working on it tomorrow and on Thursday also. Feel free to come check out my project and everyone else’s in our class on the 3rd and 4th of may, 11.00 – 15.00 , Skärholmsgången 2 , T – Bana Skärholmen.
See you there!!
Last Tuesday was the so called “biggest hip hop event of the year” , the Kingsizegalan. I think it was a good night. But it was not a great night. It was fun, there was a lot of people, but it was not like there haven’t already been Hip Hop events like this. My favourite artists won prices, (almost all of them) and they also performed live, meaning Kartellen, Näääk & Nimo and Christopher from SödraSidan. I also talked to almost all of them, and Christopher told me that it’s cool even if they didn’t win in the category that they were nominated, because 2013 is their year. They are preparing a whole new album, so this is the year we are going to see a lot from them 🙂 Can’t wait 🙂 I also talked to Alpis, Sebbe Staxx and hanged out with the guys from Internmusik, Pangaia and Chorizo Records. 🙂
Redline Recordings won almost every single price, such as producer of the year and new coming artist. (Dani M. )
Sebbe Staxx with Dani M.

Cool night, but not a great night. 🙂 There were lots of Hip Hop events like that before, maybe even better, like Big Disco for instance. 😉
So, last night we were out, at Judit & Bertil – Hornstull, for a cozy hang- out at Maskinisten’s release party. The place was full and it was so much fun hanging out with all the Internmusik crew, Sebbe Staxx, Christos, and so many more important music-related people! I learn so many things in hang- outs like this. Sebbe told me that I speak swedish so much better than he ever will, when I told him that we have been here for just almost two years now haha! 🙂 Plus we also hanged with Christos who seemed so happy since this video is his first music video ever 🙂
And the sisters got Sebbe Staxx in the middle and started taking pics! So much fun! 🙂
Sebbe with my greek- artist friend Christos ❤
Such a cool night! Stock city lights on our way home ❤
And of course the video (It was released yesterday at the Kingsize Magazine page, but I wanted to upload it here today so that I have pics from the party too 🙂 )
I have seen so many uploads on facebook and I wanted to say too, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope the new year is like everyone imagines it to be, and specially for me I just wish I will be able to do all the things that I have in my mind. I will try my best 🙂
This year for me has been so unpredictable, I managed to get to know so many people through this blog and it has been amazing so far. Plus I got to know better all my favourite artists, the ones that I talk so much about, meaning Kartellen, Södra Sidan and Alpis. It has been so awesome. I will really try to keep up with everything that comes up including them and I hope it really works more than it already did since now. I am so glad that I started the blog almost two and a half months ago and it has so far around 8,500 views. It was so hard to believe it in the first place, because I didn’t know if people would be interested in what I write or if they like the same artists like I do. But it turned out so great and I hope it remains that way.
I want to thank specially all my favourite ones for motivating me to get involved with this, and for all the good words they said about the things that I write and the material that I have here, meaning Sebbe Staxx, Maskinisten, Alpis, Christopher and Daniel from Södra Sidan. I wish you all Happy Holidays and good luck with your future music plans. I really hope I will be able to keep doing this for as long as it goes and spread the word and the music that you want to share with the people.
And last, I wanna thank all the people that read and are interested in what I have to say, my college friends and my family in Greece that I miss so much. I wish you all a great new year, with health, focus, lots of music, inspiration, passion,$W@G, and love.
HAPPY NEW YEAR BITCHEEEEZ!!!!!!!
A completely $W@GGED out pic to end the year!
And a completely $W@GGED out song to end the year 😀
I haven’t been bloging for a couple of days now, because I have been on the set of Maskinisten’s new music video called “Långsamt”, (in english the closest word would be “slowly” ). It was great! It was my very first time being on a real set, watching how a music video is being made and the most important part is that I had the chance to do this with one of my favourite artists ever, Maskinisten. Along with that, I had the pleasure to meet people who work with music , meaning the directors, photographer, people who work with music managing/marketing (my thing), but also 2 really cool guys, Christos, the artist that sings along with Maskinisten, and Sebbe. (I actually had seen Christos and Sebbe before, but didn’t really meet them in person, I did that now 🙂 )
The funniest part is that as soon as I heard “Christos”, I kind of realised that he must be greek and when we started talking we were like :
(Him) -I’m half Greek.
(Me) -Really?? I’m all Greek!
Haha so we talked actually in greek, english and swedish. 😀 He told me so many things about him, he let me listen to some of his samples that he is going to be releasing in 2013 and some of his future plans that include collaborations with global DJs! Oh yeah!
It has been a great chance for me and I really want to thank Mr. Jerry, Christos, Sebbe and the all other people who were there and let me be a part of it. I’ve learnt so many things and had an amazing time. Thank you! 🙂
Day 1, on the set
This one below was a special tecnique, of showing a short film that is going to be part of the video, but the cool thing is that the film is actually going to be seen on Maskinisten’s skin. I was sitting on the other room with the guys when they were filming this and all of a sudden I hear “Irene! Come here and check this out! ” It was Mr. Jerry! 😀 ❤
Day 2, shooting at Mr. Jerry’s house
Christos and me looping a bit on the pauses!
Baby sister followed me at the shooting yesterday ❤
