Happy New Year!!

I have seen so many uploads on facebook and  I wanted to say too, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope the new year is like everyone imagines it to be, and specially for me I just wish I will be able to do all the things that I have in my mind. I will try my best 🙂

This year for me has been so unpredictable, I managed to get to know so many people through this blog and it has been amazing so far. Plus I got to know better all my favourite artists, the ones that I talk so much about,  meaning Kartellen, Södra Sidan and Alpis. It has been so awesome. I will really try to keep up with everything that comes up including them  and I hope it really works more than it already did since now. I am so glad that I started the blog almost two and a half months ago and it has so far around 8,500 views. It was so hard to believe it in the first place, because I didn’t know if people would be interested in what I write or if they like the same artists like I do. But it turned out so great and I hope it remains that way.

I want to thank specially all my favourite ones for motivating me to get involved with this, and for all the good words they said about the things that I write and the material that I have here, meaning Sebbe Staxx, Maskinisten, Alpis, Christopher and Daniel from Södra Sidan. I wish you all Happy Holidays and good luck with your future music plans. I really hope I will be able to keep doing this for as long as it goes and spread the word and the music that you want to share with the people.

And last, I wanna thank all the people that read and are interested in what I have to say, my college friends and my family in Greece that I miss so much. I wish you all a great new year, with health, focus, lots of music, inspiration, passion,$W@G, and love.

Christmas Djing!

So last night, I djed again at Tivoli, at the Hip Hop dancefloor. There was so much people! I played between 00.00-01.00, which means that I was second on the row, something that I was really nervous about. I was so worried to make sure that I adjust perfectly my music and not make mistakes at the same time, because people were already dancing and having fun. My hands were shaking the first minutes, till I made sure that everything is like it’s supposed to be and after that came all the fun part, seeing people dancing and enjoying your music! I hadn’t time to take pictures of me and my baby sister while we were playing but we  took pics of the colourful flashing lights on the dancefloors, something that I really love 🙂

If you are interested in the same music like me, I have created 5 different Hip Hop/ R n’ B tracklists on spotify with international music, one with swedish Hip Hop and one reggaeton/dancehall, you can check them out or subscribe 🙂

Enjoy! 🙂 ❤

2 Days On The Set With Maskinisten

I haven’t been bloging for a couple of days now, because I  have been on the set of  Maskinisten’s new music video called “Långsamt”, (in english the closest word would be “slowly” ). It was great! It was my very first time being on a real set, watching how a music video is being made and the most important part is that I had the chance to do this  with one of my favourite artists ever, Maskinisten. Along with that, I had the pleasure to meet  people who work with music , meaning the directors, photographer, people who work with music managing/marketing (my thing), but also 2 really cool guys, Christos, the  artist that sings along with Maskinisten, and Sebbe. (I actually had seen Christos and Sebbe before, but didn’t really meet them in person, I did that now 🙂 )

The funniest part is that as soon as I heard “Christos”, I kind of realised that he must be greek and when we started talking we were like :

(Him) -I’m half Greek.

(Me) -Really?? I’m all Greek!

Haha so we talked actually in greek, english and swedish. 😀 He told me so many things about him, he  let me listen to some of his samples that he is going to be releasing in 2013 and some of his future plans that include collaborations with global DJs! Oh yeah!

It has been a great chance for me and I really want to thank Mr. Jerry, Christos, Sebbe and the all other people who were there and let me be a part of it.  I’ve learnt so many things and had an amazing time. Thank you! 🙂

Day 1, on the set

This one below was a special tecnique, of showing a short film that is going to be part of the video, but the cool thing is that the film is actually going to be seen on Maskinisten’s skin. I was sitting on the other room with the guys when they were filming this and all of a sudden I hear “Irene! Come here and check this out! ” It was Mr. Jerry! 😀 ❤

Day 2, shooting at Mr. Jerry’s house

Christos and me looping a bit on the pauses!

Jesper’s Tattoo :D

Today I had lections for 12 hours almost. So tired! But I try not to think about it, and become creative and this is exactly what I did today 🙂

I asked from my friend Jesper to tattoo me the motive that he has on his own  hand! I really liked these two little kids hand -in-hand on his own tattoo and  wanted to have it too haha! Our class is all about creation and inspiration, so I had fun today with it 🙂

Thanks Jesper!

Sveriges Ungdomsentreprenör 2012 @Fryshuset 2012.10.25

Last night was a very educative night for me and I guess for many other young people who were at Fryshuset.

It was a night dedicated to young people who have the vision to run their own business. To help that process come along, there were people who already do that, so that they give tips and advice to the youth, and to basically be there to help  them to follow their dreams. It was very inspiring specially when every business man started to describe their own story, saying how they  first started, with no idea of how their business was going to turn out, and with no money. Actually starting from a point when you only have your vision and yourself. People are not always willing to help, you have problems with managing your money, you get dissapointed and laughed maybe by people, because you sometimes seem to have too big plans and visions…. But that night was to confirm and at the same time prove all this wrong. One of these business men said something very typical but true : ” Nothing is impossible. You are going to face hard situations but don’t be afraid of them, this is just a part of it”.

So the main idea was to fight- work hard for the things you love, believe and compare yourslef with the best of them. This is how you are going to help yourself develop.  At least this is what I got from all of this. 🙂

There was also live music from BABA recordings and DJing from my school SELECT DJ. I met my teacher Micheal after a long time and had a great time! I also talked to a lot of artists from Baba recordings and got in contact with many people 🙂

Beautiful decoration!

And Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream!
