2014 has been one for the most blessed years for me. I have managed to do so many stuff, made so many new friends, traveled quite a lot and experienced music more than ever. I shot and basically been to so many shows that I can actually say that have been life-changing. Thirty Seconds to Mars, Daughtry, Backstreet Boys, Gavin Degraw, H.E.A.T , Reckless Love, T.N.T , Europe, Aerosmith, GAGA, Rival Sons, Twin Atlantic, OUTLOUD, Stockholm Rocks, Väsby Rock Festival, Rockbåten 2014, are some of the artists and festivals I experienced live. Moments like that are really priceless. ❤ I really hope and wish that 2015 includes way more music and live shows, blessings and health. 🙂
Have a great happy new year my dear friends, take care and be careful these days.
Well, this moment finally came. It might have taken more than 15 years for me, but I have finally seen the Backstreet boys live. It is hard to describe a band that has sold more than 130.000.000 million records worldwide, so I will try to describe what they mean to me.
I fell in love with them when I was 8, with their hit “I want it that way”. After that, I kept following their success, but the real moment when I fell in love really deep with them, and mostly with Aj Mclean was when their hit “Incomplete” came out. The first time I watched this video, my emotions were beyond words. And I became an addict straight on. Their album that includes this hit is my favorite album of all times by the Backstreet boys. It has stigmatized a whole period in my life when I had no friends and all I did was get lost in music.
I could never ever believe at that moment that there will be a day when I would actually stand literally in front of them and watch them perform. But this moment came really true last night here in Stockholm. How can I describe what I felt, when I don’t even know how. The truth is that they were amazing. They were exactly like all those posters I kept hanging on my room walls since I was 8 years old. They were as gorgeous and talented as these posters. Each and every one of them. Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Howie D., Brian Litrell and my love Aj Mclean. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw him, was all these moments that I googled him and paid real close attention to his tattoos. Now he was real. Right in front of me with all those tats and manicure that I was trying so hard to copy when I was a kid. He was perfect.
As about the whole show, I didn’t see not even a single person that was not having fun. We all partied together like in the 90’s and we had to thank the Backstreet boys for that. They were so kind and interactive with the audience. I have seen very very few artists who actually do that. All I have to say is that last night might as well have been one of the best nights of my life. And I know that, as long as there is music, they’ll be coming back AGAIN!
